This story begins with Marcelo's funeral. His family, his fiancée Lúcia and three suspicious men are the only people accompanying the coffin. By night, at home, Rosa, Ricardo and Lúcia notice something strange: Marcelo's room has been completely ransacked. Suddenly, the phone rings. Rosa answers and hears the voice of her son who had just died. The shock is too strong for the poor lady, who dies of a syncope. To understand these sinister events, we have to go back three days...

Maria is a young woman who becomes a well-known crook in the bohemian district of Lapa, in Rio de Janeiro. She earns her living with little scams and tricks. Nevertheless, she is good-hearted, and that's why her latest cheat doesn't work at all.

A drama about double personality

Renato and Miro are black brothers raised by a white family in an old mansion in Rio de Janeiro. Renato, a graduated lawyer, has always looked for dignity, winning in life due to his honesty and search for social recognition. His brother, on the contrary, is a rebel small time crook who believes his behavior is the product of the treatment he received while being rased by the whites.

Roberto is blind and tunes pianos, isolated from the world and hurt by having abandoned his promising career as a pianist due to the accident that took his sight. One day, Roberto meets Suzana, the great love of his life, and his old passion returns with full force. But there's a problem: Suzana's engagement could put everything to ruin, separating the passionate couple once again.

Professor James Anders is a seemingly mild-mannered teacher, an American working in Rio De Janeiro. Anders, bored with years of teaching, decides to put together a team to pull off a diamond heist during the Rio Carnival. Four international experts are brought together to carry out the robbery: a safe cracking expert, a master thief, a mechanical genius, and a playboy.

Antônio Nunes is sentenced to 30 years in jail, after having killed a woman, and becomes known as ripper of women. Infatuated Tânia begins to visit him frequently and hires a lawyer to try to take him out.
