In the capital of Ceara, Iracema is the name of many women. It is the name of schools, guesthouses, bakeries, laundries, steakhouses, Iracema is the name of beaches.

A middle-class family living in a house filled with superfluous electronic appliances see the arrival of a new item, a 29" TV-set.

Forty years separate Maria Eugênia, or Maê, a writer from Pernambuco based out of France, from the couple Miguel and Lúcia, who has just celebrated their 40-year anniversary. Maê's return uncovers old doubts and suspicions. Miguel, a sociology professor and former political prisoner, wants to face the truth, and Lúcia, his life partner who has dedicated herself to getting him out of prison, wants to escape from it. From the point of view of these three main characters we learn about political events.

On Pernambuco's Zona da Mata, Northeastern of Brazil, the municipality of Buenos Aires bares the same name of Argentina's capital. A Spanish teacher introduces the characters and places of the city, a landscape of social contrasts with influences from different cultures. Despite no sight of Porteños there, some locals insist on the coincidence by many ways, and develop an emotional attachment to the neighboring country. Soccer games, a hometown team's parade, and the arrival of an argentine strengthen such connections during the 2022 World Cup.

A red table and the words of 23 former political prisoners. In this film, young subversive gentlemen comment on the coexistence in male prisons in Pernambuco during the military period. From the arrival to the prison, from the affection, from the hunger strike, from the role of collectives within the jail. The feeling of belonging is what moves this documentary. To the characters, belonging to a generation. To the technical team, the feeling of belonging to a country that seeks its memory, that seeks its truth.

The original Canal Brasil series is based on chronicles by writer Xico Sá. The focus is on modern relationships, taking as a starting point the love misadventures of journalist Quincas.
