As her dad lies dying in hospital, Mia (16) takes sister Squeeze (12) to walk the dog in the fields by their home. Out there, the landscape shifts around them, they become separated and Mia comes across a strange man, lurking at the edge of a dark wood.

15 year old Mattie has vivid dreamlike premonitions, which she is encouraged to ignore by her older brother Marco. But Mattie begins to sense that these visions might have more substance than they would like to believe.

“To me, Hong Kong represents a meeting of the two elements of water and concrete: the natural and manmade fighting for space whilst constantly permeating one another. For this film I tried to echo the mediations between what I interpreted as the ‘water’ and ‘concrete’ components of the nuanced musical composition."

The rushing train of thoughts of a young woman in a changing room as she internally debates the line of caring and not caring, telling herself off for feeling self-conscious instead of empowered. A poetic take on the prosaic.
