Vengeance et terre battue

Mathieu Sapin, a successful comic books author (Gérard, cinq années dans les pattes de Depardieu), creates an album to mark the fortieth anniversary of François Mitterand’s election. He turns to the figures in the shadows of the Socialist Party, in the forefront of which is Julien Dray known as the “Baron Noir”. Through anecdotes and firsthand accounts of those who spent time in the highest spheres of the French state since 1981, Mathieu Sapin attempts to answer the big question: “who killed the French left?”.

Arnaud, a 25-year-old man, enters the campaign team of a candidate for the French presidential election as assistant to the Director of communication. While discovering the techniques, intricacies and rivalries of the electoral campaign, he will feel fascination for this world, as well as for its attractive director, Agnès.

Babalawo Awè is a healer who practices the Fâ oracle. He lives on the border between Nigeria and Benin. Every Sunday, from his small office, he welcomes numerous patients with problems as varied as illnesses, questions about the future, or even existential issues.

The show follows a girl and her monkey friend as they set out on adventures in their contemporary African city.
