Basile, 17 years old, activist, wants to change the world. Malik, 19 years old, a security guard at a multinational company's warehouse site, makes do with the world as it is. These two were not really meant to meet. However, a combination of circumstances will embark them in a common adventure.

A beautifully styled portrait of the Yukon in Canada’s far northwest. Once, people came here to find freedom and fortune and to live in a vast and breathtaking mountain landscape, but years of intensive mining have inflicted immeasurable damage on the landscape. North tells the story of this Canadian territory in a poetic but nonetheless confronting way. We hear the memories and stories of the former mine workers, and of the original and current inhabitants of the area.

Siberia, 2011: the crossing of a territory as in an awakened dream. As the journey progresses, nature reveals itself to be magnificent and brutal, human presence rare and uncertain.

An undefined territory and time. An unspoken war is fought against men who were trying to run away from it. Mehdi lost his father there. He inherited a debt. He became a smuggler.

This film was made with the help of a diary, video tapes and a roll of film found in the Lahemaa forest. The owner has been reported missing
