Father Iversen has a mission: to save his parish. He already has an idea. With a spectacular performance of the Passion story, he wants to convince the theater-loving archbishop to keep the parish. But director Roberto, who has been canceled by the Berlin theater scene, and Mia, the butcher who has returned involuntarily, thwart his plans.

The very last hotel before the Talking Hole - A man has been living here for a while. The heavily guarded hole, which tells the secret of eternal happiness, can only be accessed by couples. But he is alone. With great perseverance he tries to reach the hole to finally feel happiness.

Ukraine during the German occupation in 1943. 12-year-old orphan Mitka earns a living in a tavern under a false name by playing music every night for the mainly German guests. He is accompanied in his playing on the violin by the pianist Yegor. Even beyond the music, he tries to be a friend and mentor to the boy. Mitka, however, finds it difficult to accept the budding friendship. This is because none of the people involved has any idea that Mitka belongs to a Jewish partisan movement.

Since a few years the violinists Ari and Ron are a couple. As they both get the invitation of an orchestra to audition for the solo part they get into direct competition . Their mutual trust is put on a hard test when Ron gets an temptating offer from the conductor of the orchestra.
