Brynja is having the time of her life in a foreign country when all of a sudden her world is turned upside down. She finds herself standing at a crossroad; fight or flight. On her way, she meets women from all over the world that have found themselves in the same situation.

Steini is a recovering alcoholic who went on the wagon when his son was born. He has to hold down two jobs to make ends meet to be able to support his family. At the same time, he neglects himself and his needs, not being big on addressing issues and talking about his emotions. As a consequence, Steini has become an extra in his own life. When fate intervenes, and he loses one of his jobs, he gets entangled in a dance with a dangerous partner.
