Sascha is shy, overweight and sells baked goods. When no one is looking his hands fold delicate origami figures. Pia is not a customer but the only constant excitement he has. One brioche roll, one coffee and she is gone. Each and every morning. When Sascha gathers all of his courage and lets an origami flower slip into her bag, things begin to unfold.

One night in a lonely hotel room, two strangers fatefully meet - one blind - one suicidal. During the night they spend together, they learn of each others differences and similarities and change as people.

This documentary looks back on seven decades filled with music, emotions and passion. Stars like Jean Paul Gaultier, Hape Kerkeling, Tom Neuwirth (aka Conchita Wurst), and Germany's first ESC winner, Nicole, share their experiences on and off stage. The documentary paints a multifaceted portrait of the ESC, highlighting its profound influence on music, fashion, and society, as well as on the LGBTQIA+ community, thus becoming a vibrant journey through seven decades of European pop culture history.
