Die Wache

Lawyer Maria “Mai” Gardner moves from Berlin to Vogtland for a mandate. There are pretty villages, spruce forests, and even skiing is possible. People are proud and stubborn, for better or worse. In the local community people like to sort things out among themselves.

The series is about a cruise ship that travels to places around the world.

A picturesque journey on the waves of love and life. Each episode embarks on a tantalizing cruise, intertwining the stories of newlyweds beginning their matrimonial journey and the ship's crew navigating their own personal tribulations. As breathtaking locations unfurl in the backdrop, heartwarming encounters and serendipitous moments greet the passengers. However, it's not all smooth sailing—each voyage confronts its fair share of tempests, from past heartbreaks resurfacing to unexpected on-board mishaps. Yet, amidst the ebb and flow of emotions, the series consistently delivers an uplifting message: love and understanding can steer any ship to safe harbor. A truly heartwarming watch.

Judith is a doctor who is very committed to her profession. Aiming to become a cardiologist, she performs part of her residency in a chronically understaffed hospital emergency room. During a particularly difficult shift, she makes a mistake that causes the death of a patient. Judith is devastated and doubts whether she is suited to the profession. Her fellow doctors, including her partner Mark, advise her to just carry on as before. While Judith’s actions are investigated, she is assigned to ambulance duty. Being in a new environment and having some distance to the clinical routine allow her to see things in a new light.
