Cannon Arm and the Arcade Quest

When 19-year-old Aathi and her family, as the first farmers ever, arrive in what is now known as Denmark, her family is killed by a local tribe of hunter-gatherers. To survive, Aathi and her brother are forced to live with the tribe.

26 people live in the Belgian city of Doel, and they have no plans of moving anywhere. Even if everyone else is busy telling them how hopeless their beloved ghost town is. Vandalised, dilapidated and an ironic destination for urban explorers, car nerds and Dutch techno ravers. Doel is squeezed between an industrial port and a nuclear power station, and since the 1960s the government has regularly tried to raze it to the ground to make space for a container park in the name of globalisation. The school, the shops and even the church have closed, and most houses have either been torn down or abandoned. But the last inhabitants are not giving up. Young as well as old agree to defend Doel to the very end.

Skull Fracture or ‘Aren’t You Rather Young to be Writing Your Memoirs?’ is a story that emerges and crashes within the narrow, inventive, and organic confines of the memory. A story about a skull that breaks and needs healing. How do we see an experience in the light of another? How do we see the other in the light of the new? And does it all even make sense?

25-year-old Vera gets help from her ex-boyfriend moving a sofa from their old home to her new one. On the way, she finds out that he's seeing someone else. The jealousy makes her doubt her decision and Vera makes a desperate attempt to win him back.
