Zombi Zapping

This documentary film is a portrait of a film critic as seen by a filmmaker. While contemporary cinema manipulates reality by hiding itself, this experiment manifests the opposite in an explicit and evident way. The film critic has been asked to travel to the city of Bergamo to participate in a 70-minute film experiment: savoring 2 kg of oysters and drinking 2 bottles of wine, while simultaneously answering 15 general knowledge questions and 15 solicitations of a private and personal nature. The outcome is a ruinous game in which the meaning of filming and the fragility of a human being merge into a melancholic testament.

During the covid-19 pandemic, a man writes a letter to a dear friend.

A man spends his days at home, immersed in his habits, staring at flies and napping. His dreams of revolution are long lost. Time melts his body, but not his memories. The only way to spend his days seems to be writing little poems and thinking about his past.

Dino takes a walk with no direction and no purpose, he just get outside and goes around the block. He is kind of bored and decides to kill an hour or two. Then dino finds a wild seedling, he smells it, but he doesn't remember the name.

A man sitting in a bar munches pistachio nuts to kill time. Another man browses through a magazine, looking for interesting topics and keeping up to date with the world. The barman follows his routine, not caring about his customers.

Weak and battered, a man wakes up near a railway. the pale sun looks like it doesn’t feel like rising. The man walks through deserted places and stumbles into a plastic bag containing items from his past. He gets into a courtyard of a house and phones a woman. The sun washes over him with all its strength.

A man has an irrepressible passion for money that drives him to count bills and seek obscure pleasures.
