The Sandman
A re-telling of ETA Hoffman's "The Sandman" as an exposition of how it inspired Freud's theory of "The Uncanny". Created in the style of early German Expressionist cinema (complete with visual references to Metropolis and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari) using both digital video and 35mm still photography, and combines live action with stop motion animation.
