Mustafa, known by the nickname "Ipsiz," is a drunkard and a wine lover. He spends the 3-5 kuruş he earns in taverns and is despised by everyone around him. Mustafa lives a poor life, sleeping on the beach at night, while completely different lives are being lived right next to him. A wealthy businessman wants to buy a plot of land near Mustafa's neighborhood to build large houses, but the landowner refuses to sell. The businessman, who has decided to kill the landowner, assigns one of his men to carry out the task. One day, this man comes to the tavern where Mustafa drinks every night and, upon seeing him, sets out to train him as a hired killer.

Years after a divorce divides their family in half, six siblings encounter each other by chance and try to get their parents back together.

Erol is a former convict who has been released on parole. After leaving prison, he takes on the role of a taxi driver to avoid attracting attention. In this context, she begins to study Erol's life. Their relationship eventually turns into love. While Erol struggles between his love for Nevin and his hatred for her father, he calculates how to get out of the situation in the most profitable way.

This is one of the tragicomic films of Kemal Sunal who is most "serious-comic" artist of the Turkish cinema. This film also reflects socio-economic and cultural life of the 70's-80's Turkiye. The film obviously talk to Turkish audience but who wonder that era of Turkiye can taste of it. The film underlines of love, friendship and -richness in the poorness- and also is a story about the people who prefers love, instead of money and fortune. The theme and narration may include some populist elements -like most Kemal Sunal films- but generally tells its story as well. The story is familiar to Turkish audience: A young man loves young girl. In most Turkish love films one of the partners is rich or poor according to the other but in this movie both sides are poor and they have many difficulties to reach happy end. In my opinion, these kind of movies always gives hope to people to get over it.
