The story of 95-year-old Aboriginal elder Laurie Baymarrwangga and her work to maintain the language and cultural traditions of the Yan-nhangu people of Murrungga.

Delivered home by police, 17 year-old Thomas has to front his domineering mother Marlene who isn’t interested in his side of the story. Forced outside as punishment, Thomas is left with hurt and frustrations, until neighbourly sounds enter his conscious world echoing a connection to the present and the past, Thomas is triggered to make a life changing decision.

Martha, an Indigenous woman, works tirelessly in a laundromat, until the monotonous routine is interrupted by a mysterious visitor who reminds her of the life she left behind.

A journey into the emotional landscape of family, love and loss of two close friends, both Aboriginal, who were adopted by white families and have connected back with their bloodline families.
