An emergency occurred at the school. An elderly, distinguished teacher suffered a heart attack and was hospitalized after an article was published in the newspaper containing unfair accusations against her. When a new teacher arrived in the tenth grade, one of the students decided to restore justice.

A first episode in the trilogy about the Russian partisan's resistance against the Nazi occupation of Russia during WWII. The film is set in August of 1941, when the Nazi forces invaded and occupied the European part of Russia. Major Mlynsky is in charge of the special group of partisans. His group is absorbing other small groups of Russian soldiers, who managed to survive from the attacks of the overwhelming Nazi forces. The Nazi Armies are advancing to Moscow. Major Mlynsky is organizing the Russian partisan's resistance against the Nazis, behind the enemy lines.

Every year in the summer the guys meet in order to go on another sailing trip. All of them were very lucky to have faithful and devoted friends. But the seventh grader Kirill is keenly aware of the lack of friendship in his class. He especially felt this when he was accused of stealing a wallet. Taking Chirok under his protection, Kirill managed to fend for himself and his new friend.
