Duel of the Underworld

This is a film about three pretty young ladies from Hong Kong who work as sales agents who travel to a resort in Japan for the sole purpose of meeting and wooing millionaires.

Legendary jewel thieves "Nocturnal Earl" (Ling Yun) and "Fragrant Night" (Lily Ho) are set on a collision course for destiny when both arrive in Japan to get their hands on the famous "Venus Tear Diamond." But sparks fly between the jewel thieves and the two fall instantly in love, without knowing that their beloved is after the very jewel each is seeking! To make matters worse, the diamond is in the possession of a randy widow who has her eye on the debonair male thief, and there's even a mystery man interested in the widow, too. Who's going to get the Venus Tear Diamond, and will it mean the end to a perfect love?

Teenage heart throbs Ching Li and Paul Chin Pei come across like Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon in the musical Sunset, a musical romp that plays similar to one of Hollywood's famous "Beach Party" movies. A car load of girls meets a car load of boys and Ching and Paul ultimately fall in love. Yet the film takes an acrid twist and turns out to be more like a Shakespearian tragedy than a beach-babe party.

This movie stars Peter Chen Ho as a male teacher in an all girls school. The girls are teens and, since they live there, are kind of tickled to see a male teacher. They don't particularly lust after him, but they kind of crush on him. The title of the film refers to a baby that Chen minded as a favor in a doctor's office, only to find the mother left him with Chen. Chen has to take care of the baby and, inevitably, has to bring him to school and hide him, as he lives there also.

Ruriko's father is a well known scientist who's involved in secret research that even his family doesn't know about. Ever since he moved up to the research laboratory in Hokkaido, Ruriko hasn't heard from him. The only thing that reminded her of his warmth was the green music box that he’d left behind for her. She longed to reunite with her father. The little box played music that lifted her spirits, to a place where everything was perfect.

To prevent a drug ring from killing her brother, Ping Ping surrenders to police, claiming she is guilty of trafficking drugs. She is subsequently jailed. Years later she joins fellow inmates to escape and the girls are bent on smashing the drug ring and to wipe out its members.

In this sequel to The Husband Wore the Apron, househusband Soma wins a children's literature award, bringing in a windfall of prize money. Meanwhile, the Kurata couple find jobs that bring further complications into their married life.
