Shathruvu is a 1991 Telugu film directed by Kodi Ramakrishna. The film stars Venkatesh, Vijayashanti, Kota Srinivasan Rao and Jeeva in lead roles.

Torn between toxic marriages, Narendra, a renowned actor, and his co-star Parvathi fall in love and desire escape, freedom, and a peaceful life together. However, their love affair runs into trouble owing to a conspiracy.

Venkat and Sailaja meet on a train and fall in love. But Sailaja's father disapproves of their relationship and decides to marry her off to Bhadranna, a ruthless landlord, who is obsessed with her.

The story starts in a jail, where prisoner Muthupandi (Prabhu) is being interrogated by a police officer (Vijayakumar) about his past. Without hesitation, Muthupandi tells. Muthupandi is a son of the soil, a very hard working self-made man who dotes on his only sister Kavitha (Trisha Krishnan). Their mother died very early and it was Muthupandi who brought up Kavitha with a lot of love and affection. Kavitha’s best friend Lalitha (Richa Pallod), who is getting married, takes Kavitha to her house for the nuptial ceremony. As an emotional scene prior to this notes, this is the first time Kavitha has been away from her brother.

An archaeologist extracts a box from the sea which contains mystical powers. However, evil people are in pursuit of the box and create trouble for the former.

Anand is a wannabe filmmaker who is tired of waiting for his first break. He faces a major setback in his personal life when his girlfriend Vinni moves to the US all of a sudden. Ahead of his friend Mangalam's wedding, he and the friend travel to Goa to spend a good time. There, Anand develops a bond with Rathika, a young girl working at a restaurant. Meanwhile, Mangalam gets into a relationship with a location manager named Ameya.

Krish is a happy-go-lucky guy who lives with his brother and sister-in-law. He woos a girl named Manju. Manju happens to be the daughter of a Mla Simhachalam. Krish's only intention is to become rich by marrying her and doesn't have any feelings whatsoever toward her. He also meets a girl called Meenakshi, aka Meenu ; he starts to like her for real and falls in love with her. Meanwhile, Simhachalam and Shinde run against each other in a presidential election in Delhi. Shinde is a man of misdeeds. Shinde tries to find faults in Simhachalam's personal life so that he can expose him in front of the high command of the party, so that his route will be clear to get the party ticket. Shinde comes to learn that Simhachalam has another wife (Sita) and a daughter who live in Hyderabad. He sends his men to find them. .

A dancer trains for an event where she has to perform a special dance in Lord Shiva's temple. But when she suddenly disappears, her younger sister Chandrakala decides to learn the dance.

Sri Krishna (Siddharth) grows up watching films playing in the theater in which his father works as a movie-projectionist in a village. Satya (Ileana) is harassed by Vicky (Munna) - son of a politician - who wants to marry her. Satya escapes from home and Sri Krishna falls in love with her the first time he meets her. As the goons and police chase Satya, Sri Krishna protects her and drops her in the house of the politician. He wins Vicky’s confidence. Then, he plays a one sided game with him. At the end, the police that were working with Vicky turn against him and arrest Vicky and his parents. Satya and Sri Krishna get married.

Madhav (Uday Kiran) and Seenu (Jatin) are neighbors and best buddies. They play football representing the AP team. During their trip to Calcutta, Seenu gets injured in order to save Madhav from an accident. Doctors say that Seenu is unfit to play football and he can walk only by using a walking stick. Seenu takes a vow from Madhav that he should not tell anybody that he was injured while saving Madhav. Amrutha (Arti Agarwal) is a middle class girl who is raised by their grand parents (K Viswanath and Sujatha). Madhav happens to see Amrutha one fine day and falls in love with her. …… If I start telling the relationships and complexity of the relations, you would complain to me after watching the film that I deprived you of enjoying the happenings on the screen. So let me stop writing the story line and start jumping into actor's performance department.
