London, 1968. Director Alphonse attempts to complete his greatest cinematic work yet, entitled “The Death of Don Quixote.” But his aging star, Patrick, is seriously ill, so it is unclear what will die first: his vision, Patrick or Don Quixote.

Nights can be long inside Naomi and Ram’s room. Tonight, they have invited Marina over and their messy space is under scrutiny. Exploring intimacy as a personal playground and the skin as an intimate map, Naomi’s docile body unravels in the tension inside a room she keeps grasping and losing. The small child within her is itching to giggle through the night, before the break of day.

In early 1900s rural Trentino, Vanni and Agnese's life is upended by the arrival of Luzia, a young woman scarred by abuse. She claims to be a victim of the Mazaròl, a folkloric creature that kidnaps women in the woods.

1965. Katrien, a young Dutch woman who has moved to Italy for love, sees the relationship with her husband Sergio begin to crumble when he agrees to have their two-year-old son baptised, bowing to pressure from the parish priest.

Following a misjudgement by its ambitious young captain, a German WWI U-boat is forced to wait for a prolonged period on the bottom of the North Sea, facing the threat of enemy torpedo ships. This causes unprecedented physical and mental challenges for captain and crew.
