A portrait of a dedicated filmmaker who is a charming yet elusive figure in thrall to cinema and the constant perfection of his craft.

Alex works as a project manager for an automobile parts supplier and is sick of it. It's obvious just looking at him. When the next project is announced already at the final meeting for the last one, he leaves without a word and decides to change his life. He meets Anna, a film student, and lapses into the idea that she should shoot a documentary about his life. Maybe it will be easier for him to start a new life after first passing review over the old one?

Anna, 12, lives with her deaf mother in a loving bond, yet under humble conditions, that are a source of social shame when she begins high school. Staying close to its heroines, this refreshing debut blends solidarity, feminism and tons of melodies.

Deep disappointment and reciprocated love often come in close succession. Mountain Meadow Movie spends a year observing the emotional highs and lows of four people who work at an agricultural workshop for the multiply handicapped.
