AGFA Mystery Mixtape #5: Haunted Lives

There's nothing dreamier than the moment when the lights go down and the show begins. Now imagine capturing that feeling for 77 minutes of concentrated bliss. Exploding from the vaults of the American Genre Film Archive (AGFA), THE CULT OF AGFA TRAILER SHOW is a sequel to THE AGFA HORROR TRAILER SHOW . . . and AGFA's wildest mixtape yet. Meticulously constructed by the mad scientists at AGFA to resemble an otherworldly night at a mall multiplex, this compilation features rare trailers, commercials, and ephemera—all of which were preserved and scanned exclusively for this project.

Unleashed from the video vaults of the American Genre Film Archive (AGFA), AGFA MYSTERY MIXTAPE #1 is a brand new compilation of the most electrifying found footage mayhem that you’ll see this week. For our kick-off tape, we’ve curated an hour-long joyride through the hallowed halls of “behind the scenes” horror. Our team has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support during these difficult times. So this is our way of saying thanks! The price is set at 99 cents, which is the lowest possible option that Vimeo offers. We want everyone to be able to enjoy this. But if you’re able to donate more to our non-profit mission, there’s also an option to pay what you want. Thank you for your continued support, and remember: “DIDN’T YOU USED TO BE SATAN?”

Unleashed from the video vaults of the American Genre Film Archive (AGFA), AGFA MYSTERY MIXTAPE #4: FOLLOW YOUR OWN STAR is a brand new compilation of the most electrifying found footage mayhem that you’ll see this week. For this latest tape, our deep dive into behind-the-scenes horror is complemented by an even deeper dive into television from Dimension X.

In the 1990s, Something Weird Video gifted humankind with HEY FOLKS! IT'S INTERMISSION TIME—a series of six magical VHS compilations that preserved vintage movie and drive-in ads. HEY FOLKS! IT'S THE INTERMISSION TIME MIXTAPE! (an exclusive feature-length mixtape from the AGFA team) is a loving tribute to those cathode-tube-fueled days.

Unleashed from the video vaults of the American Genre Film Archive (AGFA), AGFA MYSTERY MIXTAPE #3: SEQUELITIS is a brand new compilation of the most electrifying found footage mayhem that you’ll see this week. For our third tape, we’re diving into the most controversial, hotly debated topic of all time: HORROR SEQUELS! Thank you for your generous support during these difficult times. And remember: “This makes Guns N’ Roses look like THE BRADY BUNCH.”

Unleashed from the video vaults of the American Genre Film Archive (AGFA), AGFA MYSTERY MIXTAPE #2: LATER IN L.A. is a brand new compilation of the most electrifying found footage mayhem that you’ll see this week. For our second tape, we’ve returned to the hallowed halls of “behind the scenes” horror for another hour-long joyride of F-U-N. Thank you for your incredible support during these difficult times. And remember: “Do what your spirit tells you.”

MOHV’s revolutionary new remix of the classic HALLOWEEN slasher franchise, told solely through the eyes of Pleasance’s unstable (and possibly wasted) psychiatric savior. Watch as Dr. Loomis gets increasingly more unhinged and shattered as the series goes on. Could it be that Loomis is as dangerous to the town of Haddonfield as Michael Myers himself? You be the judge!
