The six months of darkness finally arrived in Bogotá and the rest of the world, and with them the promises of anarchy and terror of the so called "Hunters". As a 12-year-old girl, Ana escapes the city with her parents to protect them from danger. Locked in a bunker, Ana, Mateo, and Angela await underground in the hope that they will avoid the horrors of the surface. In the meantime, John, a 35-year-old man, and his wife, Laura, have to run for their lives without the benefit of a refuge.

In the thickness of the mountains, in an isolated community led by a preacher known as El Señor, a presumed new Messiah is brought, unleashing a wave of violence and pain.

Matt, is a preternaturally curious 8 year old who tries to capture his fears by writing in a personal book about all the things that could hurt him. Soon enough, he is confronted by his greatest fear of all: clowns. As it turns out, the clown - heartbroken and unable to forgive himself after losing love - digs his own grave, convinced that dying is the only way out of his pain and misery. Wise beyond his years, Matt decides to face his fears rather than run away, setting the scene for a life-changing conversation where each becomes a guide of sorts to the other.
