The She-Wolf

Following a successful experimental operation to reverse age, a wealthy businessman stages his own death and assumes the identity of his nephew. His spurious pursuit of a very young woman eventually catches up with him, as does his age.

This film combines four short films under the title Bits Of Life. The Bad Samaritan is taken from a story in Popular Magazine in which the son of a Chinese father and a white mother is sold into slavery by his father. The boy becomes a criminal and a cunning but cruel thief. The one time he stops to help a lady in distress he is thrown in jail. Wesley Barry is the young boy and Lon Chaney the grown-up criminal.

Ruthlessly determined to succeed at any cost, Amos Mason ( Willard Louis ) comes to New York with his fiancee, Ann Sherman ( June Marlowe ). By unscrupulous dealings and with the use of Ann's savings, Amos meets with considerable success and casts aside Ann, who is forced to take a job as maid in the Graves mansion. Amos begins to court Shirley Graves ( Irene Rich ) and causes Ann's dismissal. Mrs. Graves ( Helen Dunbar ) persuades Shirley to marry Amos, despite her love for the penniless Douglas White ( John Patrick ). Ann marries James Warren ( Robert Agnew ), an architect, whom Amos hires to build a mansion, and Ann tells Shirley of Amos' previous perfidy. Shirley has an affair with Douglas White but becomes disgusted with illicit sex when she believes him to be unfaithful to her. Amos' schemes fall flat, and he is arrested for swindling. In prison he repents, Shirley's attitude toward him softens, and they are reconciled when he is freed.

Mark O'Rell is sent to New York by his wife's Aunt Cordelia to recover a valuable quilt. In the city he finds the quilt, discovers that it conceals stolen jewels, and in consequence is pursued by both police and thieves. Police catch the thieves, Mark gets the quilt, and he returns home safely.

A young fighter, Bill Hickey, achieves success through the help and support of his friends and, once he does, he gets a big case of 'swellhead.' And then he loses his friends, loses his girl-friend, loses his confidence and is all set-up to lose his title.

Margaret's son Lance becomes angry at his father, John, due to the people who are invited over to their home, and Lance starts a career with the help of his mother. Considered a lost film.
