In this release, Johnny Cash and company took to the ACL stage on January 3rd, 1987.

Originally recorded on October 23, 1988 and edited for a 30-minute broadcast, Austin City Limits and New West Records have collaborated to release this sparkling performance given by Dwight and his early band, in its entirety. The audio has been re-mixed and re-mastered in stereo and 5.1 surround. Special guests include Buck Owens and Flaco Jimenez.

The legendary Willie Nelson is in fantastic form on this 1990 Austin City Limits performance. The DVD includes his classic songs, Whiskey River, On The Road Again, Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain and Always On My Mind. The DVD also features a couple of duets with Shelby Lynne. Once upon a time...it all began with Asleep at the Wheel. Willie Nelson may have done the original Austin City Limits pilot show, but "The Wheel" was the first act to perform on the first episode of the very first season in 1976. Over three decades later they still deliver their own special brand of jazz-inspired Western Swing to avid fans of every description coast-to-coast. The other half of the very first show also featured a historic reunion of the original members of Bob Wills Texas Playboys. What makes this particular program, recorded October 14, 1992, so special is that several of those original Playboys return to perform with Asleep at the Wheel. Pioneering electric guitarist Eldon Shamblin, singer Leon Rausch, pedal steel player Herb Remington and virtuoso fiddler Johnny Gimble wail away on such Wills' classics as "Corine, Corina," "Roly Poly," and "Blues for Dixie." Goosebumps are guaranteed.

R.E.M. recorded this live performance on March 13, 2008 for the television series Austin City Limits and aired on PBS starting March 24, 2008. The DVD release includes three songs not broadcast on the television program—"So. Central Rain (I'm Sorry)", "Fall on Me", and "Imitation of Life."; The setlist is heavy on songs from their upcoming album, Accelerate, but features classic hits "Drive", "Losing My Religion" and "Man on the Moon."
