The unskilled, jack-of-all-trades András and his wife, Éva are put in jail for serial work-place thefts, -committed in order to try to ensure a normal living standard for his family - and for aggravated assault committed for self-defence, respectively. Their two small children are put in state care, then given to foster parents. András, still in prison, commits everything to help the released Éva get hold of an apartment and get their children back so that when he will have served his term the family could be together again.

After they got imprisoned, small-time criminals Kuplung and Csumpi tell their stories to their cell-mate of how they have planned the most imperfect robbery. Their big idea was to rob the Money-liquidation Warehouse. The movie shows how they fielded a team to execute the robbing and how everything went wrong.

Twelve-year-old Zsolt lives in a dilapidated Budapest flat and is the lone caretaker for his grandmother, a woman lost to drink and confined to her bed. Harassed by local gangs and ignored by an indifferent society, he forms a desperate connection with a pregnant girl. Tamas a young coal miner has an eye for the girls but is too bashful to ask for a date. Juli is a teacher in charge of a kindergarten. She too has yearnings for love but fears showing the feelings bubbling within her. The quiet and tender moments the lovers spend together are contrasted with the overpowering gigantic and noisy coal mine with its dirty metal trucks and endless rubber conveyor belts. There is an atmosphere of impending danger within the mine.

Péter runs S.O.S. Love!, a matchmaking agency for wealthy clients, until Tomi, a rich but clumsy suitor hopelessly in love with kindergarten teacher Veronika, proves unbeatable even for their team. Desperate, Péter rents a country manor and stations his staff there as “Tomi’s family” to lure Veronika into visiting, setting the perfect stage for Tomi’s conquest. Everything goes according to plan, until Péter himself falls under Veronika’s spell.
