Back to the Elements

The fourth part of a series by Indian painter and director Velu Viswanadhan on the elements is a multilayered portrait of his country in images and sounds, without commentary and rich in nuances and metaphors.

The second entry in Velu Viswanadhan's series of experimental documentaries. This film traces the Ganges river upstream.

In the 1970s, filmmaker and artist Velu Viswanadhan began his series of five films about the elements. This last part is about ether, the invisible essence of all matter.

In Sable, Velu Viswanadhan explores the beaches and banks of the seas and rivers of the Indian subcontinent.

Third film in the series of the five elements, Fire / Agni also speaks of purification. It represents everything that has a purpose in life: what is consumed and reproduced, which gives warmth and creative energy.
