On a night out in Copenhagen, Louie has a mental breakdown and wakes up in a psychiatric ward. It's not the first time he has lost control but now his girlfriend Ville can't take it anymore.

On their way out the door for his grandfather's funeral, five-year-old Magne refuses to go, which causes his father to scold him. The father angrily goes downstairs to pack the car, while Magne shuts the front door, trapping his father outside. The power dynamics between father and son are turned upside down, and now it is Magne who decides whether they will make it on time. The film explores the act of meeting one's child and letting each other in.

When their father suffers a heart attack, Thilde and her sister stay at home to wait for news, while their mother stays at the hospital. An incredibly strong and moving tale of fractured families, reconciliation and rebuilding.
