Ordinary Day

Chenevelles, population just over 400. A grocery store-bar-service station. Its church and château. A village lost in New Aquitaine. Nothing to distinguish it from neighboring towns. Until the day when a few posters, community social networks and local newspapers invited the surrounding area to participate in the first rural Pride - on July 22, 2022! The region's LGBTQIA+ community, along with Cyril, the mayor, and his constituents, got together to ensure that this celebration resonated throughout the country. The grocer, Léo, a young man in transition, and the Poitiers-based Coloc Drag collective all had the same goal: to surpass 1,000 participants to spread the word that the countryside has broken free from prejudice and celebrate tolerance.

The tragedy of Eva-Marree, deprived of her children for prostitution then killed by their father. In a convincing indictment, director Ovidie denounces the abuse of power by a supposedly protective Swedish state.

Facing the camera, they describe " the horror ". Brutal and unwilling medical acts, performed without anesthesia. The impression of being no more than " a piece of meat ", and the pain, unbearable. " It was no longer a delivery, it was a scene of massacre, " describes a young mother, her voice white. Her testimony, bordering on sustainable, and those of several other women are at the heart of "Tu enfanteras dans la Pain". After investigating the impact of pornography on the sexuality of young girls or the suppression of prostitution in Sweden , the feminist director Ovidie continues to examine the pressures exerted on the bodies of women, this time through the prism of obstetric violence.
