Hitler's Island Madness

The presenters travel to Australia's Northern Territory for a road trip across the outback in three GT cars. On their trip they deal with crocodile infested rivers (again), camp in the outback, and race through an open-pit mine before the journey culminates with a task to herd some four-thousand cows in one of the world's largest farms.

Leslie's husband Steve is a brute and she wants out, at least she thinks she does. Her lover Elizabeth agrees that Steve needs to go away, so they plot his murder. Meanwhile their friend Cliff can't seem to get used to the idea that his wife has left him, and he tries to kill himself. The murder doesn't go as planned, the suicide doesn't go as planned, and Elizabeth, Leslie, and Cliff find themselves on the run from a very angry Steve. Trouble is, Leslie isn't so sure she wants to leave, so Elizabeth is compelled to compel her to accompany them.

Reliving in their own words the horror of the first air raids, the shock of occupation and the islands' gradual five year long decent into privation and starvation before experiencing the capitulation of the German forces and the joy of liberation.

In 1941 Hitler deported over 2000 British men, women and children from the Channel Islands to the heart of Nazi Germany. It was a terrifying journey into the unknown and some killed themselves rather than go. Others had just hours to pack one bag, destroy their pets and leave. However, the initial horror of the camps and the struggle to survive in the primitive conditions was replaced with a determination not just to survive, but to thrive, as Hitler's crime created one of the most bizarre episodes of the war.

In 1940, carried on a wave of rumour and panic, thirty thousand Channel Islanders fled their homes, their livelihoods and the islands for five long years in exile. Arriving in England with just one small case and only twenty pounds in cash, they were sent by rail across the country from Oldham to Glasgow. Children separated from parents, all cast adrift in an alien culture. Homeless and jobless, the adventures that befell them helped forge friendships the length and breadth of Great Britain which survive to this day. This is their story.

Jim Hart, a young man who is down on his luck is approached by a lawyer, Steve Hall. Jim was adopted at birth and Hall reveals that he stands to gain an inheritance from his real father, wealthy anthropologist and explorer Alexander Moss. What Jim doesn't know is that 25 years ago, Moss attacked a tribe of vampires, the Drell Vorgora, in the Andes in order to steal a rare necklace. The tribe believes that guilt in hereditary, so when the vampires discover that Moss (who they have already killed) has a child, they come to hunt him down.
