The Doe

Months after the disappearance of his father, Leonard, 11 years old, discovers a living entity in the compost at the back of the garden. He secretly forms a bond with this thing, which is soon discovered by his little sister. Both start to believe it’s their father. When their mother protests against this idea, Léonard begins to have doubts about her.

A teenager is caught between her attraction to a boy and the sinister presence that resides in her attic; a confused townie roams the countryside, convinced that the locals are out to get her; and in a world where everyone has a double, one woman seeks to be her own person. A twisted collection of tales that dig into the human psyche to expose the violent urges and hidden fears that lurk within.

Sarah's parents have separated and her father has moved to a high-rise area outside the city center. Here she gets the opportunity to experience new contexts and surprises that affect both her and her father's situation.
