Telling the story of Jasmine, who fears that her parents will be deported; Evelyn and Elizabeth, sisters with different immigration status; and José Eduardo, a deported artist, all of whom revolve around the same axis: migration.

How did a poor Mexican scuba diver get to marry an American top model? What was she looking for when she drove a convertible from New York to Acapulco with her 3 year old son? What happened to that white freckly boy who grew up in a world that reminded him everyday that he was a foreigner? Using a legendary shark hunt in the late seventies as our story’s core, we will meet the Martinez Sidney family and discover the secrets of their peculiar past. They will also show us a different view of the Mexican-American experience.

Story about nostalgia, identity and memory, but above all, it has to do with love and dreams. It is an intimate journey about what happens with those who have relatives who have left for the United States in search of a better life, in an exploration of the consequences of migration.

Doris and Oscar, a couple who has spent 40 years living and working together, face their impending retirement. Both dedicated their lives to educational projects and architecture in rural indigenous communities in Mexico. Isabel and Enedino, two indigenous professionals in the Sierra of Puebla, take the baton from their mentors and teachers. A documentary that celebrates and explores the transformational process of teaching, learning and building.
