Chorus Of Hope

In Dong Thap Muoi during the days of the Vietnam War, Ba Do, Sau Xoa and their little child live in a small shack in the middle of an abandoned wetland zone. They are entrusted with the mission of maintaining Viet Minh's lines of communication in the area. Daily life goes on as the small family looks out for death from above.

Dũng, a well-accomplished leader of a platoon, is suddenly sent back to the rear to help the militia transport supplies and ammunitions to the frontlines. He reluctantly heeds his superiors’ order, and soon finds himself acquainted with Nhàn, one of the militia’s most hardworking members.

Duong and Tho are two military intelligence officers tasked with investigating enemy positions. They arrive in a rural area and meet Kien, a guerrilla fighter. Kien's wife, who deeply loves her husband, fears that if he continues his activities, he will be targeted by terrorists, leading to the destruction of their family's happiness. For this reason, she tries to stop her husband and clashes with Tho.

Nguyễn Hồng Sến's debut feature, based on the novel of the same name by Nguyễn Quang Sáng. Members of the Viet Cong attempt to defend their fellow citizens from being forcefully relocated from their village by a South Vietnamese army officer while at the same time continue with their efforts to win the war in Vietnam.

The film documents the construction process of the Bac Hung Hai irrigation system to bring Red River water to the provinces of Bac Ninh , Hung Yen and Hai Duong . This is the construction event of the first major irrigation project in Northern Vietnam after peace was restored in 1954. The film highlights human labor and the ability to improve nature.

A Vietnamese woman from an ethnic minority is grieving over the death of her husband caused by the U.S. bomb. An American fighter pilot is shot down and desperately trying to survive under the U.S. bombing in the jungle where the woman lives.

One of the three collaborated movies by Trinh Cong Son (songwriter), Hong Sen (director), and Nguyen Quang Sang (novelist). The other two are "Mùa Gió Chướng" and "Cánh Đồng Hoang".
