Nosema is a story of death in the guise of rebirth, of a couple before their disappearance last summer. Hürmüz and Şimuni Diril had to rebuild their homes for the eighth time as it was bombed and burned down in the middle of an armed conflict which forced them several times to leave their village Meer, one of the last remaining Chaldean Catholic villages in Turkey. On October 2019, they reunited with their children as usual, but this time proved to be the last as they disappeared from their home several months later. Şimuni Diril’s body was eventually discovered, Hürmüz Diril is still missing.

Aspiring actress Gülşah is preparing for the auditions of an acting school. She also volunteers for a theatre and one day she is sexually assaulted by famous actor Levent, who is also a jury member for the audition she is preparing. Daily reality and the reality of the theatre world flow into each other and Gülşah has to fight against several patriarchs in order to fulfill her dreams.

A little boy goes on a journey to grow up.

Salih (35), taking his son Mert (5), returns to father’s home, upon his funeral - in where he gets stuck within memories, family criticism and responsibility to his son. He justifies himself by blaming his father with whom he had a fall out but also faces the truths of becoming him and that his father loved him indeed.

The film begins as a documentary about an author known for autofiction. By incorporating multiple making-of layers, it blends the process of making the documentary with the author’s narrative technique.

Salmane is a Senegalese refugee living in Turkey. He dreams of moving to Europe, continuing his unfinished university life and supporting his family financially. During his time in Turkey, he works in different jobs and saves money to go to Europe. He makes several attempts to cross into Europe via Greece, but each time he is beaten and sent back to Turkey. Salmane, who disappeared on the day his documentary was shot, is never heard from again. While following Salmane's own text, the film unearths the memories he left behind with the help of the memories on his phone.
