Two black college students, Perry and Stephanie, tell the story of their two-year romantic relationship.

Best friends Raven and Chelsea, now both divorced mothers, are raising their children in a house together. Their house is turned upside down when they realize one of Raven's children inherited the same psychic abilities as their mother.

Inspired by the true story of Greg Yance. In the film, Yance (Epps) is a hood who goes to jail for possession of drugs. He is given a choice: 5 years in jail or a couple of months in boot camp. He chooses boot camp and finds out it is tougher than he thought it would be. He braves it through and comes home a better man. He then has to deal with the real world, and never gives up no matter what the odds.

Matt Sabo is a talented high school graduating senior who is picked to play in the state all-star high school football game. Despite the honor, Sabo sports a bad attitude on and off the field, including run-ins with the law, and it becomes evident to his teammates at the all-star camp that he doesn't care about the game. That is until he meets Amy Lear, an attractive, intelligent local of the camps host town, who helps him realize that he has a shot at getting a full ride scholarship if he plays well.

Though Ric and Natalie are well matched and seemingly happy, the soon-to-be groom finds himself too weak to resist engaging in a one-night stand, which, understandably, sends the would-be bride running in the opposite direction. Luckily, or so it would seem, she finds a wealthy suitor perfectly willing to include her among his accolades. Ric, now thoroughly lovelorn, sets off in hopes of proving that status and expensive gifts aren't valuable if there's no love involved.

Toni, a very accomplished social worker and award winning nurse, is engaged to successful physician, Dr Ralph Mallory and works in a hospital run by Ralph's father. Following the death of her teenage son, Toni is acutely aware of how short life can be and is determined to live it on her terms. Van, Toni's best friend also works in the hospital and has been a great support throughout her recent ordeal On the surface, a well adjusted middle class woman in a stable relationship, we are soon made aware of Toni's long term longing for women and her struggle to deal with it and conform. Rescuing Desire takes us through Toni's exploration of her sexuality and Van's efforts to ensure Toni's safety during her self discovery
