Based on the novel by Edith Unnerstad about a man, Pip Larsson, who invents a new kind of pot which makes a sound when the stuff you are cooking is ready. As he can't pay the bills he and his family get evicted but luckely they have a couple of carriages they can live in and travel round the country, selling the new kind of pots Pip Larsson has invented.

"How crazy!" A man and a woman watch episodes from Nils Poppe movies outside a cinema Maxim in Stockholm. Poppe represents, among other things, a poor composer who vainly tries to get a tune adopted by a publisher. The failure makes him depressed, but he is living it up by meeting a good friend Calle, who invites him home. Poppe stays for a few days as a male housewife. Calle has a music store and there the two friends can go crazy among all the instruments.

Operetta singer Adolf Berg will be called up for military duty just as he gets assigned a major role in an operetta. On the train he meets Ulla Wern and complications occur.

Gunnar Gawell is mason on a building but also a very good football player. He gets a chance to play for the the national team against Denmark. Gunnar is offered a bribe if he allows the Danish team to win the match.

Set in the Stockholm archipelago, where a man nicknamed ”Kometen” ("The Comet") runs a very successfull business of liquor smuggling, while the customs service and police try their best to stop him.

Orvar does not know that he has inherited a large fortune but the seven brothers do and they begin to treat him with the greatest courtesy. They convince him to write his last will, making them his heirs, and then begin to make plans on how to kill him.

Kalle Blomkvist and his friends intervene when a professor and his little son Rasmus are kidnapped.

Lisa Larsson, dancer at a theater, witnesses a traffic accident and banker Brenner's private driver asks her to be a witness. When her friends see her talk to the driver, they start to believe that she is Brenner's fiancée. The manager of the theater, Gravander, gives her the leading part in his latest show, in order to befriend Brenner. Jan Froman is a young man with great plans for the future. He gets a job as an assistant janitor at a bank, but with inherited money he starts to buy and sell real estate which eventually increases in value.
