Two of Delilah's arias are particularly well known: "Printemps qui commence" and "Mon cœur s'ouvre à ta voix", the latter of which is one of the most popular recital pieces in the mezzo-soprano/contralto repertoire. German tenor Hans Jörg Mammel, an accomplished interpreter of the Austrian composer, sang several excerpts from the Lieder, while pianists Tanguy de Williencourt and Thomas Enhco, virtuosos of the young French scene, performed a duet that captured all the cataclysmic verve of The Rite of Spring.

Deep beneath her goodness smoulders a fire that her encounter with the prince will set free… Guillaume Gallienne subtly highlights the halftones of this dramma giocoso, somewhere between opera buffa and opera seria, and ranging from sombre melancholy to the burlesque.
