From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Si Doel Anak Sekolahan is an Indonesian soap opera produced, written and directed by Rano Karno who also plays the main character as Doel/Kasdullah. This soap opera has a storyline about the life of Doel and his family, a Betawi family who still maintain traditional values ​​even though they live in the midst of the current modernization of urban Jakarta.[1] In addition to Rano, this soap opera also stars Benyamin Sueb, Maudy Koesnaedi, Cornelia Agatha, Aminah Cendrakasih, Mandra, Suti Karno and Basuki. Consisting of 6 seasons and 139 episodes, the story is a modern version of the novel Si Doel Anak Betawi by Aman Datuk Majoindo and the film of the same name directed by Sjumandjaja in 1972.
