Waterlanders

“Waterlanders” is Simone van Dusseldorp’s 1994 graduation film from the Netherlands Film and Television Academy. It depicts two sisters coping with their parents’ death and constructing their own reality in an attempt to regain a sense of agency. While the sisters share an unbreakable bond, the older sister’s growing curiosity about the outside world strains their relationship as the younger sister resists these newfound changes.

De F*ckulteit

The brand new series De F*ckulteit revolves around Anouk, who is unexpectedly confronted with her past on the day she enters the partnership process at her law firm. A balloon with a very personal message from her old professor and ex-lover Patrick Hartman turns her world upside down. When the infamous Hartman suddenly shows up at the office, Anouk is overwhelmed by doubts and uncomfortable memories. What does he want from her after all these years? Meanwhile, journalist Max Klepper focuses on a revealing article about transgressive behavior at Anouk's old law faculty. The Secret Letter

Eleven-year-old Eva is upset by the many rows between her parents and decides to run away. She finds a secret letter there, which tells her the man is a king pin in a criminal organisation. And he is not exactly happy with Eva’s unannounced visit. To convince her of the importance of secrecy, he reveals that Eva’s dad is also involved in his illegal affairs. Eva hesitates: is her father who he claims to be? From that moment on, the enterprising girl does her utmost to exonerate her father from being involved. A period dawns in which Eva discovers that grownups also lead their own lives. She wants to ask questions, but at the same time she is afraid of the answers.

Owls & Mice

Meral (8) just moved into a new town. She tries to make friends at her new school before their autumn school camp, but this is harder than expected. At home she befriends a little mouse that lives in her new room, which she calls Peepeep. Afraid that her parents will kill Peepeep while she is away, she secretly takes him with her. Thanks to the mouse, Meral makes some unexpected new friends. When an owl catches the little mouse, Meral blames her new friends. It is not until they set out into the wild to retrieve the owl pellet with Peepeep's bones that Meral finally understands what friendship is all about. OWLS & MICE is the sequel of the successful and award-winning FROGS & TOADS, from the same writer and director Simone van Dusseldorp.

Life according to Nino

Life is good for Nino van Doorn (8). He has a terrific brother Lucas (14), wise father Bruno and an angel of a mother, Marla. When Marla dies, Bruno can't cope with her death. Also the values like order, responsibility, love and care they represented. The two brothers create their own world. But soon the anarchistic world is threatened by the outside world. The two brothers are prepared to fool the system but what happens is that they really become a family again.

Six year old Max has an important mission: find some frogspawn for his older brother. Together with his neighbour girlfriend Jesse he makes an adventurous and touching journey along fields, farms, animals and a forest which eventually leads to his grandma's home. There he's welcomed by his grandma, her pancakes and the desired frogspawn . On his overwhelming journey through nature he's accompanied by cheerful childrens songs.

At Once

Sabrina is a fourteen year old girl with a passion for biking. She lives with her family in a rural area, her parents have a bakery in a small village. Because of puberty she has troubles in dealing with her feelings. When her best friend gets a boyfriend, she wants to keep up. Although she is in love with the farmers son Martijn, she gets involved with a much older season worker.

The story is about Ester, a nine-year-old girl, who has to conquer her fear of unfamiliar surroundings. Together with her father she moves into a new neighborhood where she is being ignored by the other children living there. One day when her father has to work, he tells her to go and play at Ms. Richmond's. Outside the children from the neighborhood warn Ester for Ms. Richmond. The story goes that Ms. Richmond used to have lots of children, but that they were all eaten by her toilet. A bit disturbed, Ester visits Ms. Richmond. During her visit she learns that Ms. Richmond and her toilet are quite different from what she imagined them to be. With this visit she conquers her fear, gains her confidence, and earns respect from the children in the neighborhood.

Waiting Room

Sophie is on a rollercoaster of emotions while she awaits her hospital’s research results. The outcome will tell if the cancer has spread or not. During these uncertain times, Sophie realizes she loves life.

Koest

Infant Dédé is lonely at school and is hardly noticed in the busy family where noisy babies rule the roost. When he becomes friends with a dog, he finally feels recognised. From then on, he barks all day long. Nobody understands why. After a while, his father thinks of an inventive way to make contact with his son.

Abi

Abigail (Abi) is the most curious girl from the South East part of Amsterdam. She runs around from apartment to apartment seeking for new adventure. Because of her curiosity sometimes she gets into trouble but Abi always find a way out of awkward situations. In the series Abi is a role model for a multicultural environment
