Note: Electric Blue 001 in the UK is a completely different video than Electric Blue 001 in the U.S. The latter is hosted by Marilyn Chambers, features entirely different scenes and was released in 1983.

First issued in the UK as Electric Blue 11, this was titled Electric Blue 5 for the later U.S. release.

Included in this softcore erotic video magazine are “Lay It Again, Sam” about a gumshoe (Marc Wallice) who gets a little too close with his client (Laurie Smith), “Sandy... Red Hot and Chauffeur Driven” with a model (Pippi Anderson) posing for a photographer (Nikki Randall) in a desert locale, “EB Reports - Personal Services” about a phone sex business that connects adult stars with fans and actors trying out for an adult fairly tale in "Cinderella Casting."

This, the U.S. version that originally aired on the Playboy Channel in 1983, and the UK version of Electric Blue 001 (hosted by Fiona Richmond and released in 1980) are entirely different. This release shares footage with numerous earlier UK Electric Blue releases but features exclusive footage as well.

In the first of two main segments, the Electric Blue girls, along with Ricky Diamond, are in St. Tropez for more sun, surf, tits and sub-Benny Hill jokes. The second main story ("The Love Machine") is a parody of Back to the Future. Other segments include a brief profile of Brigitte Bardot, a brief look at the girls of the Australian Stubbies Surf Classic (and a wet t-shirt contest), the Electric Blue Dance Troupe and several erotic stories.

Debee Ashby, Cindy Milo and Nickie Christie are in Barbados on location for the Electric Blue team. Meanwhile, Ricky Diamond is castaway on a desert island. Bad jokes and great tits ensue. In "Blind Date," Tamara (Tami Lee Curtis) is an ordinary Valley girl, whose mother (Carol Connors) sets her up on a blind date with nerdy Henry (Rick Savage). But Henry turns out to be an international spy, and the pair are whisked off on an adventure featuring a beautiful princess, a fabulous jewel, and the world's greatest Omar Sharif impersonator. Other briefer segments involve a nude disco, nude body painting and "Satin & Lace," a tongue-in-cheek look at lingerie covering the Elizabethan and Victorian eras.

A vampire and his son are on the prowl at a local strip club. Learning the ropes as a vampire becomes difficult when the son falls for a pretty dancer.

A nerdy college student accidentally gets sent back to 1959 when his equally nerdy roommate's time machine malfunctions. There he meets a young lady who helps him become oriented with his predicament and at the same time more confident about himself.

A famous Italian film director searches for the ideal girl to play Cleopatra in his new film. Unbeknownst to him the wardrobe girl, a struggling actress, yearns for the role while fending off advances from the womanizing casting director who wants to cast HIS girlfriend in the part.

Two bungling delivery men inadvertantly bring the wrong bag to a mobster at The Pleasure Dome, a local health club. The original bag containing $50,000 is accidentally picked up by a pretty club member.

Electric Blue goes down under again, this time from the 1987 America's Cup in Perth. Our hostesses, a pair of gorgeous Aussie models, pose for the cameras amidst the action on Freemantle Harbour, and again later while jet-boating down the Swan River. Also features main story "Adult Fairy Tale" about a resurrected sorceress, an Electric Blue party featuring celebrity impersonators, the Aussie strip revue "Rage with a Raunchy Lady" and a profile on Page 3 girl Gail Thackray (aka Gail Harris), who is interviewed and even skydives naked.

Segments include a profile on Copenhagen the "Sex Centre of Europe," commercial spoofs, the costume drama "The Amorous Adventures of a Travelling Gentleman," the uncensored music video for "Imagination" by Belouis Some and many soft erotic vignettes.

During the Great Depression, a mobster muscles in on the newest speakeasy but not if the head dancer has anything to say about it in "Silk Garter Club." "Greece: Our Girls Leave It In Ruins" features EB girls Tracey, Stacey and Sally Anne on location on the Greek island of Mykonos where they laze around the picturesque location naked and occasionally tell viewers how nice everything looks. There's also the second "History of Lingerie" segment covering the 1920s to present day, other soft core shorts and the unedited verison of Helix's R rated music video for "Gimme Gimme Good Lovin'".

In addition to the usual erotic vignettes and nude photo sessions, this features steamy footage from the then-huge Fatal Attraction (1987) and a wraparound segment called "The Body Beautiful." In the latter, a young corporate man from a major fashion design business gets a chance to land a lucrative contract with Best Breast Swimwear. Together with his partner, who secretly loves him, they attempt to create an impressive sales campaign that will wow the company's idealistic lady owner.

"Bare Facts" is set in a law firm run by a divorced couple who investigate a health spa that claims to increase bust size with the use of a special cream.
