In 2019, at the international exhibition of the Venice Biennale, the Russian Pavilion hosted an exhibition by Alexander Sokurov dedicated to the parable of the Prodigal Son. In 2020, the exhibition was presented in the White Hall of the Hermitage in St. Petersburg. This film tells about the exhibition's journey from creation to implementation.

Underground dancers — Alice, Arseny, Stepan, Timur, Kirill, Lyosha and Kristina — are engaged in free creativity. They dream of getting recognition, but staying true to themselves. One day they get a chance to turn the game around: take part in a big documentary project and a TV show. Everyone will have to answer the question of why they dance — for the sake of popularity or at the call of their hearts.

Vanya was born and raised in a small provincial town in Russia. All his childhood he was brought up by Gel's grandmother and grandfather Lesha. One summer, Gel's grandmother suddenly dies. Grandfather is unable to cope with the loss of his beloved wife, go to die after her. He is hindered by his grandson Vanya, who by all means tries to bring him back to life.

It began with an idea to shoot a documentary short film about street musicians in Belgrade. I agreed when my friend suggested shooting the film in an improvisational mode and nobody knew what would happen next. As we were shooting we met new local street musicians, took lessons from them and this is what came out of it.

The freelance editor has long been in love with the host of the TV program he edits. He has never seen her live, but he has all the footage of her, even the ones that aren't in the public domain. Finally, he decides to ask her out on a date, in front of the whole office, but fate teaches him a lesson.

Popcorn seller Milan expels his son for participating in youth students protests. When the young man actually disappears in the striking Belgrade, the old man goes in search of him. So, through a series of strange encounters, Milan comes to rethink his whole life.
