Restless Summer

The tenth graders decided to spend their last summer vacation together in a labor camp. The boys not only had a great time, but also taught their bosses a good lesson in hard work, careful handling of tools, and most importantly, honesty, and weaned their foremen off of padding for a long time.

The new reality changes the usual life in the village of Babylon. Attempts to communize the small town are met with resistance from the rich people living in the town. The Red Army finally puts down the resistance. Amidst the resistance philosopher Fabian returns to Babylon and tries to prevent bloodshed, but he meets a tragic fate.

Biographical film of the most dramatic period in the life of the famous Ukrainian writer Ostap Vyshnya, who in the 1930s was repressed by the Russian authorities and exiled to Siberia. Faithful wife and assistant Varvara Maslyuchenko shared his fate and followed her husband into exile.

Olezhka arrives at a hunting lodge to visit the elderly gamekeeper Bolotov, a former wartime comrade of his father. He is accompanied by two friends, Vadya and Nadinka. Lightheartedly and somewhat provocatively, Oleh introduces Nadinka as his wife—but Bolotov takes this lie to heart, embracing it with genuine emotion and reading into it a deeper meaning.
