The Sun and the Moon

Suk-hee's mother is remarried to a man who has a son a year senior than Suk-hee. The two don't get along well first, but soon they grow intimate. Suk-hee learns, though, that she needs to give up her love for her mother's happiness. One day she leaves her mother and her new family, and goes on her way to her hometown, where she sees a Zelkova tree.

The movie begins with the mysterious death of a journalistic photographer named Kim Cheol-hun. Veteran police detective Park (Kim Seung-ho) teams up with a young, intellectual detective (Kim Seong-ok) to investigate the people surrounding Kim.

Father An is locked up in a basement by retreating North Korean soldiers while reconstructing his church ruined during the Korean War (1950-1953). The North Koreans hide in the basement with Father An and tries to escape the church by using him as a shield. Captain Choe Dong-ho of the South Korean Army has been chasing the remnants, but he cannot annihilate them because of the safety of Father An. However, thanks to the clever strategy of Captain Choe, the North Koreans are killed and Father An is safely saved.

A South Korean remake released under the title Fury of Soul (영노) in 1976 of the 1975 Hong Kong movie The Possessed (靈魔). Many actors from the original movie also appear in the movie.

Choo Myeong-ho, an employee of a chemical factory in a small town in North Korea, falls in love with a female employee, leading to three months of pregnancy, and the two hide this fact. The two find an old woman who secretly pays for an abortion and underwent the operation, but the female employee dies. Shocked by this, Choo Myung-ho rapes and strangles a female warrior. Returning to the factory, Choo Myung-ho rescues a young Park who was beaten for falling asleep while working, and incites fellow Park. The riot fails, many parks are killed, and Choo Myung-ho, who has survived his life, escapes to South Korea in search of freedom, but is shot and fell into the sea to die. The North Koreans demand the UN return the bodies. The UN has announced that it will return Choo Myung-ho's body back to North Korea for humanitarian reasons.

The movie follows Young-jae, a married man who is in love with Su-jin, a high school math teacher, but when their illicit relationship is discovered by his wife, Su-jin leaves him to protect his family's happiness.

College students Yang-su and Do-seop start a bottle-selling business with the help of their wealthy friend Shin-ja to support their struggling parents, but after falling into a love triangle and being scammed, Do-seop dies tragically, leaving Yang-su and Shin-ja to mourn and vow to rebuild their futures.

Her plans, though, often get discouraged by her mother-in-law, a conservative lady who stresses traditional values. But the bride's father-in-law who understands the charms of her daughter-in-law's modern lifestyle, helps her to get what she wants. Eventually, they become one happy family living a modern lifestyle.
