Symbiosis

What’s a story only you can tell? Inspired by this prompt, a diverse group of artists bring their personal stories to life across a spectacular range of animated styles and genres, including horror, comedy and fantasy.

Alice is 27 years old today. Even though she is suffocating a bit, she still lives with her parents and tends to live in her dreams to escape her dreary everyday life. After a psychedelic party on a factory roof, she has a serious drunken bike accident. Will this give her the courage to become an adult?

In a world where, after each break-up, ex-partners must exchange a chosen body part, Wish You Were Ear explores the lasting impact of relationships. People not only lose a literal piece of themselves with each split, but also carry visible reminders of every past love.

Animated short about a voyeur cat, a woman with excessive love for her plants, and a peculiar visitor in a fur hat. Based on the short story 'Megbocsátás' by Ádám Bodor.

A young woman struggles with her aching wisdom tooth and the challenges of adulthood. Her inner struggles come to life in a surreal amusement park where she unexpectedly stumbles one day. This inner journey shakes her out of her daily anxiety and helps her embark on a journey towards more conscious self-care.

Short stop motion animation by Nadja Andrasev and Milán Kopasz

A series of 11 short films from 6 countries: Land of the Cowboys (Soviets), Composition (Slovenia), Fences (Poland), Rivers (Poland), Beyond the Border (Hungary), Mosaic, Waltz of Sleep (Poland), Wolf Games (Croatia), Strange Sounds (Hungary), Fairy Tale (Hungary), The More I Know (Czech Republic) and Happy End (Czech Republic).

The film’s protagonist, Tree moves into the city, where he tries to adapt to his new environment. The trash-style series is about having no roots: it analyses human relationships in the midst of such living conditions that feed hopelessness and demotivation.

This is a stop motion film made by Hanna Carlson, Milán Kopasz, Maja Szakadát and Nadja Andrasev as our fifth semester project at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. The dialogue in this film has no actual meaning, it is self-created gibberish.
