The Miserable

Karim is interested in Esmat, but her daughter's mother's sister, Mossayeb, is considered for the meals that work in the harbor. Mossayeb, on a trip to Tehran, is arrested with a group of smugglers. Karim is also charged with murder and arrest with a conspiracy plot.

A man saves his friend's life in the hunting ground...

Yavar (Reza Beyk Imanvardi), a truck driver, saves Maryam (Arzoo Ghaffari) who has fallen into a well, and meets her brother, Karim (Hossein Gil). Yavar and his student Ali (Mehdi Fakhimzadeh) take Karim to their hometown of Shiraz. Karim accidentally kills a passerby, and Yavar introduces himself to the police instead of Karim. While Yavar is in prison, Karim insults Yavar's sister, Nosrat (Aram), and at the same moment, Qoli Palang (Ahmad Moeini) rapes his own sister. Karim flees to Tehran and, after learning what happened to Maryam, decides to kill her; but his mother stops him. In Tehran, Nosrat meets a singer (Nadia) and takes refuge in her house. Some time later, Yavar is released and looks for Karim. Karim escapes from him and Ali and gets into a fight with a leopard in a ruin outside the city. Eventually, both are injured, and Karim expresses remorse in Yavar's arms before dying. Ali asks Yavar for permission to marry Nusrat.

A-Seyd Kazem, the guardian of the neighborhood, is the lover of his sister-in-law, Zinat. He rejects Zinat's suitors, including Teymour, until Davoud, the son of his old friend Jalal, comes to Tehran from Shiraz and becomes interested in Zinat.

Mehri and Keyvan spend their holidays in Bandar with their parents. Mehri falls in love with a young man named Hemet, and Keyvan falls in love with Hemet's sister (Zinet). Despite their parents' approval, the two couples decide to get married. Zeinet and Keyvan get married, and Hemet goes to Tehran to buy a wedding dress. But he loses his money and, since he has no intention of returning, he stays in Tehran. Zeinet is unloved by her family, and when she gives birth to her child (the child is black), Keyvan drives her away on the pretext of infidelity. The family doctor shelters Zeinet, and Mehri commits suicide in order to blame her parents, but a series of incidents and actions taken by the doctor resolve the problem and the two couples live a peaceful life.

Faramarz is a young engineer who goes to a village to teach agriculture and encourages the locals to participate in the village's development.

The first story: a teacher's daughter who is related to a group of revolutionaries, is arrested and tortured. He who is not willing to give his information to the agents of the security organization will be executed. The second story: A young revolutionary named Mehdi is arrested and tortured. He condemns the royal system in the court of order. The agents torture and execute him. The third incident: Ayatollah Taleghani who is in prison is being tortured. He resisted so much that he was released in the blind revolution, along with other political prisoners.
