Berlin unter den Alliierten 1945-1949
The film initially depicts the emptiness and hopelessness of the first days and weeks, but soon public life is more or less organized again. The years 1946/47 are entirely focused on reconstruction. In 1948, the conflict erupts openly, and the division is solidified. Nevertheless, Berlin remains one city; people can still come together, regardless of whether they live in East or West.
