A string of valuable pearls provides the motivation for the murder of Wareing, a widowed banker, who intended them for his daughter, Mary. She is comforted by Barton, a criminologist and friend of her late father, who appears to have left his financial affairs in a terrible state. Meanwhile, Mary's fiancé works diligently to identify the murderer. Although the criminologist places the blame on Wareing's butler, a reformed burglar, the killer is finally revealed to be Barton himself.

Marshal Jeff sends for his friend Whit Gordon to help bring law and order to Tombstone. Bull and his gang with the help of the Sheriff and the Judge control the town. After foiling Bull's attempt to stuff the ballot boxes, newly elected Marshal Whit and his pals head to the corral for the showdown with Bull and his men.

J.H. Wareing, a New York City financier, is found murdered in his library after the robbery of several securities and a necklace. Suspicion points to the butler, Jason, to whom Wareing had shown the necklace the night before. Wareing's daughter, Florence, is also a suspect and therefore denied her father's estate.

In California in 1848, Brunton through his stooge Sheriff is evicting the Mexicans from their ranches. Major John Freeman and his troops arrive to investigate. Keeping his troops hidden and appearing out of uniform, he takes up the fight against Brunton. He helps a rancher who has been evicted before his taxes were due only to find him murdered and this leads to the showdown between Brunton's men and the soldiers.

While visiting Atlanta, pampered Northern heiress Olive Thurston meets and marries Southerner John Ames, a member of an impoverished but old aristocratic family. John attempts to force his wife to conform to Southern ideals of womanhood, resulting in many conflicts between the newlyweds, but after a brief separation, Olive and John are reunited, resolving to look for each other's virtues and forgive the faults.

When Jim Allen is lynched, his identical twin brother Bob, a Texas Ranger, takes his place in an attempt to flush out the man responsible.

Heading up the Chisholm Trail with a small herd and just a few men, Breezy has his cattle rustled by Curley and his gang. Returning to Texas, Breezy convinces the ranchers to send their cattle north in one big herd guarded by a lot of men. Outnumbered, Curley has a plan to get the cattle.

An escaped convict stows away on a ship of mutinous treasure hunters to find the crooks who framed him for murder.

A beautiful secretary has her pick of the men in the office, but instead of marrying the boss, she takes one of his junior staff. Later, when she is suspected of committing a murder, her husband confesses to it--although he didn't do it--in order to protect her. Complications ensue.

The final Mickey McGuire comedy finds Mickey and the gang putting together a medicine show in order to help out Hambone's Uncle Nemo.
