The "crazy" engineer Murat, who sacrificed not only his labor and sweat but also his wife and son for the Keban Dam, is engaged in a difficult struggle against the ambitions of his stepbrother. At first, Ali is reluctant to do so, but he decides to kidnap her himself to prevent others from doing so. The two spend some time together in an isolated mansion. Although Yasemin initially hates Ali, she will eventually be influenced by his lifestyle.

The film tells the story of a man struggling to save his family from destruction. Polat, whose family has fallen victim to a blood feud, settles in a remote region of Anatolia. There, he lives a secluded life, far from other people. One night, Polat helps Feyzo and his family, who are passing through the area, and finds himself caught up in a battle.
