Alanis Morissette is one of the most successful female artists and songwriters of all time and has sold in excess of 60 million albums worldwide. Her voice is instantly recognisable and she is a consummate live performer. On 2 July 2012 Alanis Morissette returned to Montreux as part of her Guardian Angel Tour in support of her new album Havoc And Bright Lights . It was her third appearance at the festival. The set showcased a number of tracks from the new album (at that point still to be released) alongside classic tracks from across her career. This is Alanis Morissette live at her very best. JONNY LANG - LIVE AT MONTREUX - 1999 In 1999, Jonny Lang was indeed 18 years old when he made his debut appearance at the Montreux Festival. He had already released three albums: A self release titled "Smokin'" followed by his major label debut and sophomore platinum albums "Lie To Me" and "Wander This World". This set features songs from the two most recent albums. Patti Smith was one of the key artists in the breakthrough of New York City punk rock with her 1975 album "Horses" being hugely influential on the entire New Wave genre. Her distinctive blend of rock, punk and poetry combined with her uncompromising style has ensured that she remains a credible artist throughout her career. This Montreux concert was part of the tour in support of her 2004 "Trampin'" album and the set list features tracks from her first album right through this release. This first-ever live concert is an overdue treat for all of her fans. This 2005 concert by rock icon Patti Smith finds the beloved singer and songwriter delivering a dozen songs from throughout her storied career including "Because the Night," a cover of "Like a Rolling Stone," and "Redondo Beach."

Korn came out of California in the early nineties and went on to become one of the most globally successful metal acts of their generation. They continue to play live to vast crowds and have record sales in the millions. This concert from Montreux in 2004 is their only performance at the festival to date.

UB40 are one of the most successful British acts of all time, with a huge string of hits on both sides of the Atlantic and around the globe. Featuring most of their greatest hits, including both songs to hit #1 in America: "Red, Red Wine" and "Can't Help Falling In Love". To date, 2002 is the band's only appearance at the Montreux Festival but clearly inspired them to produce one of their finest performances. This performance is being simultaneously released on CD.
