Where Does the Sea Flow?

In this TV-series the events of the beginning of the 20th century in Russia are highlighted. Revolutioners, terrorists, spies - and investigator Putilovskii and his team fight them as best they can.

After getting fired from the police department, Roman Shilov wants to spend some time in personal affairs. But he gets a call from a wife of Michael Krasnov, who in past provided evidence, which helped to put into jail a dangerous killer. Now Nadya Krasnova tells Shilov that Michael has been kidnapped by unknown persons. Shilov goes to help his old friend and gets nvolved in the criminal events.

A mother is trying hard to love her five-years old daughter, but even the child's very presence continuously reminds her about the trauma of rape she survived five years ago. As troubled apparitions, fears and inner disorder of the mother begin to influence the little girl's psyche. Could the sincere affection of the child alleviate her mother's suffering?

The world famous pianist comes home, to the USSR, to participate in the Tchaikovsky Competition. But the commission does not allow him even to the final round. This event becomes fatal for the hero. The heroine of the second story, a young girl, becomes a widow some time after the wedding. Unable to let go of her husband, she asks him questions in her mind. The content of the long-awaited response is overwhelming.

But his plans are disrupted by the appearance of a strange guy who decided that dying beautifully is also a kind of art. Their acquaintance turns into an absurd duel of despair... And what will happen next - a jump into the abyss or a decision to start a new life, remains a mystery until the very end.
