International action star Jackie Chan is invited to the adoption ceremony of a rare baby panda, but after an international crime syndicate attempts to kidnap the bear, Jackie has to save the bear using his stunt work skills.

Xiao Wu, who had been at odds with his father, Lao Wu, accidentally travels back in time to the 1980s. He prevents the first encounter between his parents in mainland China. In order to correct this mistake, he tries to return to the past again, to encourage his mother to chase his father. Do the parents meet and fall in love again despite Xiao Wu's intervention?

The film consists of five story units: "Concert on the Clouds", "The Enemy and Enmity of the Square", "Welcome to Jina Village", "Calm Down", and "Sunset Red Scout". It tells the struggle of ordinary characters in the new era to pursue a better life. The story shows the country’s development and progress, people’s livelihood changes, and the people’s sense of gain, happiness, and security.
