Two Embraces

Paintings in the Dark

Marcos is a 65 years old artist. He works in a gas station, depressed and annoyed with his life because he has never been able to exhibit his paintings. One day, Luis a young thief who's 13 years old, enters to his house thinking it was empty. Luis is the only one who knows about Marcos art. Suddenly, a kind of friendship starts between Luis and Marcos. And both begin to find new answers about life and art.

Una pared para Cecilia

Cecilia is seeking a new means of artistic expression. She doesn´t want to have children, they would hamper her development. An attempted robbery brings her together with Rafael, a 10 year old Chicano boy who can´t return to the USA. They inadvertently establish a mother-son relationship.

The Bearer of Sorrows

A man travels to the Argentine north following the leads of a mythical pre-Columbian entity in charge of the relatives’ sorrow. The roads at night, the inns and the large salina of Zelarayán’s poem reject anthropological shortcuts and build up a mystery that is perhaps as formidable as the very bearer of sorrow.
